Zumbi Event 2014: November 21-22

Zumbi Dos Palmares is known for his leadership of the largest free African settlement, Quilombo, in Brazil during the 16th Century. He is also known for his physical prowess, cunningness in battle and respected military strategies during African resistance in Brazil. Today he represents freedom and social justice within Brazilian society.
