Make a Donation

Why should I make a donation?

Many people don’t know that Gingarte Capoeira is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our events always run at a deficit because we do this for the art and not for the money. We believe in paying artists as well as we can, and bringing guests necessarily includes other costs such as flights. We try to bring in respected teachers who would many of us in the states would never have the chance to learn from if not for these events. No matter what you can pay for this event, we all need to think about supporting capoeira as an investment in this unique art form, not a service that you are purchasing.

By adding a donation, you are supporting programming in the schools, and ensuring the capoeira community’s ability to support capoeira teachers and mestres, many of whom dedicate their entire lives to this art form.
